About me
Hi! I’m Sara Kathryn “SK” Fetter, a Doctor of Occupational Therapy based in Dallas, Texas. I earned my undergraduate degree from SMU in Physiology and Health Management and spent several years in research, publishing work on biomechanics, running prosthetics, and gait, before beginning my doctorate at TWU.
My passion for OT began early. At 15, while candy striping at Scottish Rite, I realized this was the field I wanted to dedicate my life to. I now specialize in working with individuals with IDD and Autism, but I also have training in pediatrics, behavioral disorders, stroke rehabilitation, orthopedics, physical disabilities, Alzheimer’s care, aging in place, and home modification.
Teaching and mentorship are a big part of my professional life. I love supporting emerging practitioners as a clinical instructor for Level I fieldwork students, a site supervisor for TWU doctoral capstone projects, and a guest lecturer in the TWU Lifespan Development course.
Outside of work, you can usually find me traveling, hiking, skiing, playing pickleball, reading, or enjoying local theater. Most of all, I cherish time with my husband and our adorable Black Cattle Dog, Mambo Taxi, who was lovingly named after the iconic Mi Cocina cocktail.
